Healing with Radio Waves: Fact or Snake Oil?

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

More than half a decade ago, in the 1920’s and 1930’s, a scientist by the name of Dr. Royal Raymond Rife invented the World’s first Virus Microscope. But this is not his only claim to fame. Dr. Rife spent his life’s work studying the micro organisms that were for the first time visible to the human eye (thanks to him). His specific interest was in the cells that are responsible for causing troublesome diseases.

He began experimenting with radio wave frequencies and this turned out to be the route that would consume his studies. His findings were very exciting at the time, and remain so today. It was his contention that every molecule has a resonate frequency attached to it. Another way of saying this is that all elementary particles are always vibrating (or oscillating) at their specific resonate frequency, and that in fact all existence is predicated upon sound waves.

It’s interesting that the latest quantum physics theory, born only a decade or so ago, arrives at a similar conclusion. It is called String Theory and it basically suggests that the physical universe is built out of sound vibrations, kind of like everything is the result of some huge cosmic guitar being played somewhere. It’s a mind-blowing concept that is held by some of the sharpest minds in the physics community, including Steven Hawking.

Dr. Rife made incredible progress in this field that has unfortunately not been picked up on and continued with by our modern medical society. His research eventually documented 52 specific frequencies which could be used to treat many common health maladies, including tuberculosis and cancer. His laboratory work showed that he could safely destroy these bad cells and microbes by simply increasing the intensity of the frequency until they disintegrated from the pressure. He documented successful results in both the laboratory environment and in humans.

The human body’s cell structure and good bacteria were unaffected by these treatments. That’s because those cells resonate at entirely different frequencies and are naturally insulated from potentially harmful radio waves. It’s the same reason an opera singer can shatter a glass without hurting anything or anybody else around it.

Many people who have studied Rife’s work have concluded that he discovered the cure for cancer eighty years ago. That notion seems a bit absurd, doesn’t it? But the evidence and documented results are there. It’s just not something that fits into the way modern health care has evolved, so it has been banished to exist under the suspicious Alternative Health label.

Within the alternative health care culture you will discover advanced devices built upon Dr. Rife’s original work whose purpose is to administer healing radio frequencies. More than 250 isolated frequencies have now been discovered for treating everything from general detoxification to cancer. These machines range from foot baths to handheld units and many are built by enterprising people in their garage. You should definitely do your due diligence if you are considering purchasing one of these machines, and we would suggest going for quality over price point.

So, are healing radio waves just another snake oil product being peddled under the guise of alternative health methods? Only you can decide. If you think acupuncture, chiropractors, and herbal supplements are all some kind of scam just because the FDA will not endorse them, it’s probably not for you. But if you are a bit more open minded it might be worth exploring. After all, what have you got to lose except your troublesome health condition?

“how to Create a Press Kit to Book Radio Interviews”

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

What is included in a press kit? Why do I need one to book a radio interview?

• A press kit comes in a double pocket portfolio. Use a color other than white or manila so that your press kit stands out.

• Always put “Requested Material Enclosed” on the outside of the envelope so it is not thrown away as junk mail.

• Write the address on the envelope by hand. Don’t type it because then it looks like a mass mailing which is usually thrown away.

• Include an extra book cover that is attached to the front of the press kit.

Include your press release on the left hand side of the press kit. People read from left to right and you want them to look at your press release first.

Let’s look at your press release in detail.

The most important thing is the headline. The headline is the topic of your show. Have a sub headline and then a box of bullet points. Instead of the “For Immediate Release” say “Available for Interview”. Your bio and picture is on the right hand side. Include statistics because the media loves statistics.

Next is the list of sample questions. These questions should be placed behind the press release in press kit folder.

Your list of sample questions is a choreographed script for radio interview host to follow. The interviewers love to use because they don’t have time to prepare and read your book. You provide them a turnkey interview for them. This significantly increases your chances of obtaining a radio interview. Make it as easy as you can for the interviewer to interview you.

Basically you should have 10-15 sample questions, 1 page only, in the specific order you want.

Tip: Make sure to list how long it takes you to answer each question. For example, question #1 might take you 1 minute to answer. Radio show hosts are dependent upon time for their show. They have breaks, news, etc. that they must follow.

Giving these time features shows that you are a seasoned pro.

Behind this sample list of question in your press kit you should have a “controversy sheet”. This sheet lists argues or drawings that help you set up an argument about your book topic. You can use a cartoon that looks like the Sunday funnies in the newspaper.

A host can use this controversy sheet to set up an argument. It is great for talk radio. It allows you and the radio show host to involve the audience by arguing. The radio station host can pose the question that you provide and then ask his audience to call in.

Your press kit should also include letters of recommendations and clippings. These items give you credibility. After a great show make sure to ask for a recommendation from a radio show host. Make sure they write it on their radio station stationary. Your clippings can also include articles written about you in newspapers and magazines.

Place these items in your press kit and you will greatly increase your chances of snapping up radio interviews.

Radio Golf Broadway Show is not Just an Entertainer

Monday, February 1st, 2010

An ambitious lawyer and the inheritor of real estate property, Harmond Wilks, has the dream of redeveloping African American Hill District in Pittsburgh. He wants to convert the neighborhood that’s in shambles into a sophisticated area with a high rise building and a chain of stores. He teams up with his friend Roosevelt Hicks, who has recently been appointed as the vice president of Mellon Bank. Both plan a redevelopment project.

During this time, Wilks decides to stand as a candidate for the post of the Mayor of Pittsburgh. But, when some dark secrets are revealed from an old mansion at Wylie, Harmond’s dreams of redevelopment and becoming a Mayor get hit badly. Will he be able to become the first black mayor of Pittsburgh? Will he be able to transform his neighborhood? Or will his black past shatter his dreams and haunt him forever?

“Radio Golf” is all about community development. It’s a story that reminds you about the responsibility of each citizen towards his community. August Wilson, in his play, wants to tell his audience that transformation of neighborhood can be achieved only when someone cares enough to take the initiative to do something about it. Once someone starts, others will follow.

“Radio Golf” is the last sequence of Wilson’s 10-play cycle, which he wrote after every decade. August Wilson has won the Pulitzer Prize and has a deep insight into African American lifestyle.

“Radio Golf” is produced by Margo Lion, Jujamcyn Theaters, Jeffrey Richards/Jerry Frankel, Fran Kirmser, Tamara Tunie, Lauren Doll, Bunting Management Group, Wonder City, Georgia Fontiere/Open Pictures, Inc. /Townsend League, Gordon Davidson, and Jack Viertel.

David Gallo, Tony Award winner, has created the sets; Susan Hiferty, who is also a Tony Award winner, has designed the costumes; Donald Holder, again a Tony Award winner, has done the lighting arrangements; and Dan Moses Schreier has given the sound effects for the play.

“Radio Golf” has humor; it has thrill and suspense; it shows the ambition of a person and how one’s past can create a conflict in one’s present life.

It is not just any other Broadway show, but a part of Wilson’s research in the African American culture. It gives a reflection of the 20th century and also tells about how fleets of ship loaded with African slaves used to dock at Virginia.

“Radio Golf” was premiered at Yale Repertory Theater in 2005. Thereafter, it was shown at the West Coast in Los Angeles, California by Mark Taper Forum. The show was produced in October 2006 by the Huntington Theater Company situated in Boston. It was again produced in 2007 by McCarter Theater. On May 8, 2007, “Radio Golf” was presented as a Broadway show in New York’s Cort Theater.

The show is a must-see, as it not only entertains, but also sends a message across the people that community will always remain at the top of the development agenda.

So, book your tickets now itself, either online, or on phone, or at the box office and have a taste of African American culture.
